Samsung has partnered with Smart Home developer kasa to provide a smart home integration solution for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 smartphone.

Smart Home integration offers the user the ability to control devices remotely from the phone, but is restricted to a limited number of smart home features.

The feature is exclusive to Samsung devices and is currently limited to the Galaxy Note5.

Samsung’s announcement of kasa is notable given that Samsung is a key player in the smart home market.

The Korean company’s own Smart Home integration has been widely adopted across the globe and is now available in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Brazil, India, Japan, Spain, and South Korea.

The partnership with kasa will allow Samsung to offer smart home functionality for the Galaxy S5 smartphone and other Samsung products, including the Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet.

The kasa app allows users to connect to multiple connected devices via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and 3G/4G connectivity.

The Samsung app is compatible with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and Windows 10 Mobile.
