ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Jordan Matthews has told the team he is seeking a $9-million per year contract, per sources close to the situation.

The receiver has already agreed to terms with the Vikings, according to sources.

Matthews signed a five-year deal worth $60 million last offseason, which is the highest contract Matthews has ever earned, per ESPN’s Chris Mortensen.

In 2019, he’s expected to make $8 million per season.

With Matthews’ marketability in the NFL’s new era of parity, a $10 million per-year contract is likely a fair contract for Matthews to walk away from.
